This page describes how personal information is handled on Machikarte, which is operated by the Institute for Social Vision and Design (ISVD), a Japanese general incorporated association.
Machikarte uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure site usage for service-improvement purposes. We collect the following information.
All of the above is aggregated, anonymized information. We do not collect information that identifies a specific individual.
Machikarte does not collect personally identifying information such as name, email address, or postal address.
When you contact us, any name, email, or other information you include in your message is used solely to respond to your inquiry and for no other purpose.
Data retention: information received via our contact form is retained for one year after the final reply, and then deleted. GA4 access logs are retained for 14 months (Google's default setting).
User rights: under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold. Please submit requests via the contact form. We respond within two weeks as a rule.
Machikarte transmits collected information to the following third-party services. All of them are used to the extent necessary for analytics or operations and not for personally identifying users.
We do not sell, transfer, or disclose collected information to any other third party.
